I have a problem with a roof to.

I have created a 3D loft surface along a path of elipse arcs.

With the thicken option, I can't thicken the object as much as I wish, AutoCAD says: "Object intersects itself. Surface cannot be thickened with specified value."

If I will create a copy of the surface at the distance that I want to be the thickness, could the space between the surfaces be filled? And how?

This is the surface

and these are the elipse arcs that give the form of the loft surface

"AutoCAD says: Object intersects itself. Surface cannot be thickened with specified value."

Maybe you need to adjust the ellipse arcs you're using to avoid this error message. Is that possible?

What value are you using for thickness? You probably need to use a smaller value. If you try to use too large of a value, your surface will start to intersect itself and therefore trigger the error message.

I have moved your question to its own thread. In the future, please start a new thread when you have a question.

ok, sorry, I'll do that next time.

I have divided the loft into smaller lofts, each part between two arcs, all the surfaces can be thickened, except the one in the right. The thickness that I chose must be more than the arc acepts.

Well, you can only thicken the object until it starts to intersect. Once that happens you will get the error and Autocad will cancel the function. Can you use larger arcs? Why do you need to thicken it so much?

One thing you could try is to thicken the surface as much as possible, then make a copy of it, move it down below the original and then UNION the two objects together. This might work, depending on your needs.

I made a larger arc, now it's done. All the segments are united

It doesn't looks as smooth as a single loft, but it's good.

Thank you for helping me.
