abr Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Hi. I'm a beginner in 3d autocad. So far my knowledge contains: 3d solids, boolean operations, solidedit, arrays. I want to change diameter and height of hollow cilynder tube model. Solidedit does not help. What should i study? Or maybe any particular suggestions how to act. Quote
fuccaro Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Your way to go is: Solidedit>Face>Offset Welcome in the forum! Quote
abr Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 Thank for support! I tried that way and got "modelling error, unable to fill the space" (i have russian acad, and it is just my translation of message, don't sure what text should be originally). I had to be more specific, but i am not able to post links yet. It is not plain cylinder. It is a part of flue with several borders and edgings, wall thickness 1mm. However the task is solved. If anyone will look for it too - i got a suggestion to single out the profile, edit it and make a new rotating body. Unfortunately quite a long way. Quote
