ReMark Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 You are right. There is a world of difference between AutoCAD 2000 and 2009. Did you migrate any custom settings when you loaded 2009 from 2000? Are you looking for the pull-down menus and toolbars you were used to seeing in 2000? Quote
rpool Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 some staff tell me, is very hard to used v2009 environment. because 2000 is very enougt. Now, some customer send me v2004,2006 dwt file. So I only bought 2009 version to use. I think can use more 10years. But, that 2009 interface, is changed to 2000 interface? And autocad, can used "language pack" ? Quote
ReMark Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 AutoCAD 2000 used pull-down menus and toolbars. AutoCAD 2009 switched to what is called the Ribbon which is modeled after Microsoft Office. It is possible to make 2009 look more like 2000 if that is what you want to do. One of the first things you'll have to do is use Workspace Switching to change the default workspace to AutoCAD Classic. The second thing you'll have to do is type MENUBAR at the command line and change the setting from "0" to "1". Those two changes alone will return some of what you were used to seeing with 2000. ReMark Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 You would need a language pack specific to: Chinese and Korean Asian Markets Includes English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Unfortunately the only link I found to download language packs was for AutoDesk 2010 products and not 2009. I don't know where one would obtain 2009 language packs. I suggest you get in touch with your authorized AutoDesk reseller. Quote
rpool Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 Thanks! I think Language pack, As same as windows 7. Only Ultlime version provide it. windows-7 compare default aspx Work in the language of your choice and switch between any of 35 languages. (Q1) where to found autocad Version 2000,02,04,05,06,07,08,09,10. is provide "language pack" feature ? (Q2) that "language pack" is NOT autocad selling point ? Now use 2009 computer config: Intel Celeron CPU E1400 @2.00GHZ Intel G33/G31 Exporess Chipset Family RAM 1GB HDD 20GB (Q3) I install v2000, is very faster!, but install/run 2009 some delay. now if upgrade to 2010, is enough to open ? ReMark Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I do not know enough about language packs to advise you further. Please contact your authorized AutoDesk reseller (the company you purchased AutoCAD from). Quote
ReMark Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 System requirements for AutoCAD can be found here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?siteID=123112&id=13784795 I can see why 2009 is giving you problems. Your computer is weak is processor type/speed, RAM is at the low end, and I suspect you have a GPU (graphics chip) and not a dedicated graphics card. It is my opinion 2010 would not run (maybe not even load) on your computer. You would need to upgrade your hardware. Quote
rpool Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 I agree. this is Hardware problem. I found, 2010 dxf file, is new desgin/encode it. 2007/08/09 same encode dxf file. If use min System Requirements try to run 2010, maybe very long time to process. Do you know 2010 is common export format ? 2009 can open it ? Quote
ReMark Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 The drawing file format for 2010 has been changed. You cannot open a drawing saved in 2010 file format using 2009. A drawing created in 2010 can be saved to 2007, 2004 or 2000 file format. AutoCAD 2009 could open any of these. If you bought a new computer that met the system requirements for 2010 as outlined by AutoDesk then you should have no problem opening or working with most drawing files. Perhaps if you have a large, complex 3D drawing or one with many attached Xrefs you could run into a problem. Quote
Tankman Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Hardware is certainly way below requirements for AutoCAD '09. I wouldn't waste much time with a Celeron processor. Might work with AutoCAD 2000 but slow. Time to start lookin' for a new workstation and/or laptop. Your current PC just won't do the trick. Sorry. Quote
