todouble22 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Hello All, I made this dynamic block for a "curly bracket" }. It has stretch actions on both ends and it keeps the middle arcs in place, but I was trying to just have one stretch action and it will keep the arcs in the center after stretching. I tried it with distance multiplier to .5 but I couldnt get it to work? I also set a move action associated with the distance parameter? Could anyone help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong here? Thank you in advance. -todd stretchbracket.dwg Quote
dbroada Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I'm at home so can't look at what you have done but you can have one distance parameter with two stretch actions. You are right about one action having a 0.5 multiplier while the other has a -0.5 multiplier. Alternatively the first has a 0.5@90 action, the otehr 0.5@-90 Quote

Since you only need one stretch point, I remove one arrow stretchbracket-edwin.dwg Quote
todouble22 Posted November 12, 2009 Author Posted November 12, 2009 Perfect edwin!! and thank you! Quote
todouble22 Posted November 12, 2009 Author Posted November 12, 2009 Edwin, I tried creating the dynamic block myself after looking at yours, and it doesn't seem to work. I am wondering if there is some sort of "order of operations" for selecting objects for the linear parameter and stretch actions, or select all of them or is it just trial and error? your help is much appreciated! edwinprakoso Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 No, the is no certain order you need to follow. Just add the parameter change property pallete: base location to midpoint. add 2 stretch action: one on the left of your bracket AND one on the right of your bracket. You need to add two action, but use one parameter. If you still confused, try to open my block in block editor. And see where I put the actions. Quote
Rod Carroll Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Thanks, The key for me was changing the base point to midpoint. Quote
Nardino Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Try this small routine that was given to me Curls.lsp Quote
Rod Carroll Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I bet it's a nice routine, but I use LT. The previous discussion worked just fine for me. I was already trying the correct setup with the base point in the wrong position. Quote
