enemigoman Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Hello: I have an issue with the Publish to DWF command in AutoCAD 2010. I don't have (or -most likely- don't see) how I can eliminate the Model views of the files I intend to publish. You see, in previous versions (up until 2008 to my knowledge), you did have a checkbox if you wanted to include Model views or not (I never want to). This is not so relevant when you have few sheets to publish, but when you have dozens of files and layouts, deleting all of model views, one by one, is tedious. Thanks Quote
JBullseye74 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 In publish - select model, right click, remove does this work for you? Quote
rkent Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 In Publish, right click in the Sheet Name area, at the bottom of the list is Include Model Space, uncheck it. Quote
enemigoman Posted November 13, 2009 Author Posted November 13, 2009 JBullseye74 and rkent: Thank you very much. Right clicking the Sheet Name area did work. The option I was looking for is located at the very bottom of the Menu "Include Model when Adding Sheets". I just had to uncheck it. It seems though, that it doesn't save my preference and I will have to do this every time. But that doesn't matter, the problem is completly solved. My philosophical question would remain, how are we suposed to know this? Again, a thousand thanks for the highly relevant and effective help. Quote

The same way that you would know that when your dialog boxes go away you set FILEDIA = 1, or when your delete key does not work you should set PICKFIRST = 1 - or any one a a thousand other arcane bits of AutoCAD knowledge. - You check CADTutor. AutoCAD is not intuitive to learn. Some parts seem to work much better than others. The worst part is that so many different parts of AutoCAD don't work the same way as others do. Glen Quote
rkent Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 You know how we used to always tell new users to always look at the command line for what to do next? Well my new mantra is to right click over everything in AutoCAD because they have little right click 'easter eggs' everywhere. Quote
