Ringis Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Hi James! Maybe I´m missunderstanding things here, anyway, why dont´t you just copy/paste your new work to the drawing that works? //Tobias Quote
jameslrobert Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 Hi yes i had been doing this however as soon as i saved it under a different name it changed to the bad quality etc, therefor leaving me with no choice but to have absolutely everything i do saved on just the one drawing. it had been a while since i opened the good one however and since then that is now showing bad quality and i can't seem to rectify it either. I am stumped.... Quote
Ringis Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 urm the file is kinda massive, i don't think i could possibly email them to you i'm afraid.... That sounds wierd, looking at your pictures I should guess your file is appr. 1 mb, if not, just send a small part of it. //Tobias Quote
jameslrobert Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 no that file is more like 30mb now, that was in it's early stages....i'll make a smaller one and try to link it on to here some how. cheers... Quote
jameslrobert Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 ok so here's a tiny bit of my drawing however if i go to layout and set viewport as realistic and print preview it comes out the same as you can see with the images i've shown previously 3d.dwg Quote
Ringis Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I made some pdf:s for you as a test. They look really bad in the print preview but I think they look OK when they come out as pdf:s and when I printed it on our printer it looks very good. //Tobias test 600dpi.pdf test 300dpi.pdf Quote
jameslrobert Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 actually they have turned out ok, i'll have a go with my bigger file, plot to pdf then see what results i get. what do you think could be the problem though? it seems so strange that the quality is that poor? Quote
jameslrobert Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 oh my god it worked!! thank you so much!!! this is amazing finally my work actually looks good!!!!! :D lol woooo! Would still be nice to be able to print from cad, and it comes out pretty dark but the quality is good! Perfect in fact!!! Quote
iskalipsi Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 nice to hear that it worked. bravo!!! Quote
jameslrobert Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 lol well now it's printing in the same brilliant quality straight from cad too! i dont know how or why but it's sorted! haha bloody hell fire i tell thee!! Quote
Ringis Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Thats good! I have no idea why it works or not works, but still for you! I´m still curious obout your file size, how come your file is 30mb? Do you really have that much information in your file?, some beams and columns should´t be that much:? Anyway good luck with your drawings! //Tobias Quote
Ringis Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Where are you from, by the way? It would be nice if you put some more info on your profile. //Tobias Quote
jameslrobert Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 it's a lot more then just beams an columns, i have metal sheet covering the entire exterior, internal walls, purlins, bracing and i'm currently working on the ablutions and plumbing...it's actually more like 40mb now lol.....my comp nearly crashes every time i save it haha!! I'll update my profile yeh, hadn't really thought of doing it but I'll get on it now.....I'm from the UK, Isle of Wight to be exact google it, it's a wicked little place!! Currently working out in Afghanistan for an American company earning lots of pennies but I'm due home in 2 weeks never to return here again!! Can't wait!!!! I spent 6 months out here on the front line with the British Army and vowed never to return only to find myself out of the Army and out here 2 years later on!! But this time I really am never coming back..... So there's a little about me haha! Quote
