Primal Scientist
Hello All, I have just started to work in 3D and I am working on a roof truss. I have noticed that I can rotate 360 degree circle on the horizontal plane, but I cannot do anything when it come to a vertical plane. Can anyone help please? Regards, Daz. rkent
First turn the UCSICON on if it isn't already. UCSICON, all, on. Now use the UCS command, Z, 90. Study the UCS command options as you will be using these frequently. Also type UCS, New, to see further "hidden" options. Also, toggle on the Dynamic UCS at the bottom of your screen. BIGAL
Just ROTATE3D then select objects then X or Y or Z then 90 if you draw 4 objects ie up down left right and rotate them 90 (1 is -90) you end up with a cube it is that easy then use UCS Ob to set your drawing plane to be vertical etc Remember must type "plan" to make current save it is good idea UCS S, "UCS W Plan" to go bak to real world you can work in 3 d view if you want just dont do the "Plan".
