ica_cici Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Hi all, I need to make a half round chain for necklace, the link size is 1.60 X 1.62 and the half round wire is 0.40 X 0.20. Each links must have gap 0.0001 (link mouth). So I use a half round (size 0.40 X 0.20) as object to extrude along an ellipse path (size 1.20 X 1.22), then subtract with a plate (size 1.00 x 0.0001) The problem is, I have a strange shape after subtracting the half round link with the plate. Any idea what is it caused by? I have other question about plotting, sometimes when printing my drawing from layout one of my chain link just disappear and not printing, but when i change the current color with other and then turn it back to the original color it's turn up. It really confusing. Help please! halfround chain.dwg Quote
cangelo3D Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 hello to you too, i opened your .dwg and its seems pretty normal to my pc. Have you checked other visual styles? or maybe some redraw/regen? Quote
ica_cici Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 yes, I have it checked in wire frame and do some redraw/regen, but it's still strange. Quote
ica_cici Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 Hi changelo3D! I opened my dwg at my colleague computer (he is using mechanical dekstop 2006) it also looks strange. For information I drew it using autocad 2004, cause i more familiar with autocad 2004 than 2008. But when I opened it in autocad 2008 it looks normal. The question is, why only ellipse path (circle, pline, line path...etc - no problem) has the problem? Quote
