comcu Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Hi wonder if someone could help me. I have recently produced a drawing and dimensioned it up in paperspace ratther than my usual paper space. all the linear dimensions are correct but the angle dimension have been done in gradient rather than degrees? also whne i click on the dimension it changes to degrees? my three questions are can anyone explain why this has happened, what i can do to stop it happening again and also can you calculate the angle from the gradient value? Many thanks, Col Quote
eldon Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I am afraid that spelling is really very important in this thread. There is no such angle (that I can find) as a GRADIANT, as in the thread title. There is a GRADIAN and a GRADIENT as in this Wikipedia article, so I afraid that I must ask for clarification of your trouble as they all refer to different things, with a screen shot of the figures, if possible. viviancarvalho Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 This happened because your "DIMAUNIT" variable is set to 2. To avoid it happening set it to "0" The "DIMAUNIT" variable values are set as follows 0 Decimal degrees 1 Degrees/minutes/seconds 2 Grads 3 Radians 4 Surveyor’s units 400 gradians = 360 degrees I hope that solves all of your 3 questions Regards Vivian Quote
comcu Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 Hi Vivian, yes it does althou I am not sure how the variable got set to 2 as I have done a load of drawings and it is only on one drawing that i had this isse and when i checked the variable value it was set to 0. I know now what to look for and how to sort it so thank you. Colin. Quote
