Devented Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I have created this 3d model in inventor 2010, and i need to get the inside face of the model to be laid out flat, so i can dimension it so the shop guys have an easier time making it.. Any ideas how i could do that? Quote
JD Mather Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I have created this 3d model ... Did you intend to attach it here? Sounds like you are afer a flat pattern... but without an image or file.... Quote
Devented Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 Oh yeah.. Ive got a pic.. Im trying to "extract" the inside face. Everytime i try to select any tools in the sheet metal ribbon, i get a "no unconsumed sketch on the part" error, and the entire modify tab is greyed out. I created this part as a regular IAM, then converted it to a sheet metal part, this may be part of the problem Quote
Lazer Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Have you but in a split line? it will not go flat if it cannot open out. Quote
