shamoi Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 is this possible? or the "^text" "text^" applies to mtext only? thanks in advance Quote
lpseifert Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I just experimented making a Multi Line attribute and using the format ^text and stacking, and the subscript shows properly when you're in the editor and when you plot, but the screen display looks like /text. Go figure. Quote
shamoi Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 it works in the multi-line text. but i have an attributed text block. and the ^text doesn't seem to work. thanks. Quote
NBC Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I've managed to do this. To do this, you need to temporarily set your MTEXTED variable to Notepad. Then edit your attribute as you would normally. You will see that when you try to change the multi-line attribute, Notepad will open. Then wherever you want to place subscript text simply type {\H0.7x;\S^2;} into Notepad. superscript text simply type {\H0.7x;\S2^;} into Notepad. In the above syntax H0.7x is a the height of the subscript/superscript text multiplied by the height of the rest of the text of the attribute S^2 and S2^ are the different stack options. Both of which will insert 2, this can be changed to any text that you wish to be "stacked". When done, simply reset your MTEXTED back to its original setting Quote
shamoi Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 I have attached the block i wanted to put superscript text to. Those are medgases so i wanted to put oxygen (O^2) Carbon Dioxide (CO^2) et al. I cant seem to get it to work here. Ive tried the notepad way it works if it's a multi line. but not on this block. I must be doing something wrong. Thanks Again. MG.dwg Quote
NBC Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 The reason you couldn't get it to work is because you have multiple instances of attributes, not multi-line attributes. I have tried to fix it, have a look see at the attached MG-edit.dwg Quote
shamoi Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Thanks NBC...much appreciated. Now i see the difference... Quote
