StevenNoppe Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 If I change a block and save it to the hard disk, the blocks already on the drawing do not apply the changes. Is there a command that changes all the blocks in one click? Quote
dbroada Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 if you make changes to a block in the current drawing (using explode/redefine, refedit or bedit) all graphical changes should be updated immediately but any attribute changes need an ATTSYNC to get them to update. If you have changed a block and want it updated in anotehr drawing you must reinsert it from the modified file and again ATTSYNC if it has attributes. I don't know of any one click solutions. Quote
NBC Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Don't think there is an easy way using LT either Quote

Well, I use block edit to change the position of a text. Then I save the block and exit block edit, but the blocks in my current drawing do not change? If I reinsert the block, then the text has changed position. Quote
Tommy78 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Have you tried BATTMAN? BATTMAN > select text to update > click sync The text positions should stay the same Quote
StevenNoppe Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 That worked! I typed battman, then chose the block with the text and then I pressed the "sync" button After that all the text from the other blocks jumped to the correct position! thx Quote
dbroada Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I missed your version. ATTSYNC is a recent addition and not available on 2000i or LT. I didn't realise that BATTMAN was available that far back either. Something else must have happened along the way but I missed it. On my current version of AuotCAD ( 2008 ), text IS moved when you update a block but attributes aren't. Quote
StevenNoppe Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 no problem Dave by the way I now have Autocad 2008 LT. I will change my profile immediatly Quote
