DVDM Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I've tested it, and it works great. Express tools is unsupported by Autodesk, has remained virtually unchanged for the past decade (except for the odd inclusion in the core product) , yet here you are offering a far superior option, created in your spare time. You should offer Autodesk your services and get paid to do this kind of thing Quote
Lee Mac Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 Thanks mate - I appreciate it. I would love to do this kind of thing for a living, but I would have to wait until my studies are over and I think Autodesk are only interested in those that know C#/C++ etc... So for the minute, its just a hobby of mine Quote

hoowahfun Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I really like your lisp here. After using it, I saw something that may be useful for a future version. When I select multiple single line texts to convert to mtext, it puts them all on a separate line with a hard return. Is there a way to take out the hard returns and make the mtext one stream of text? (other than manually editing of course) This would be a huge time saver for myself and the other drafters I work with. Thanks! Quote
Lee Mac Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Thanks, I'm glad you like it Try pressing space to change the mode Quote

Lee Mac Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 How does your MText behave if you create it manually then? Quote

Lee Mac Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 As for the drawing you provided - you can hit space to change whether text is placed on the same line or a new line. Quote
alanjt Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Looks really nice. Two suggestions: Match rotation of first selected object (doubt one would want rotation changed). Trans GrRead point to account for non-WCS. Quote
Lee Mac Posted May 10, 2010 Author Posted May 10, 2010 Many thanks Alan, I shall implement those changes momentarily Quote
