redbeardcad Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I have a new plotter, HP T1120. I have used a couple of rolls of 24" paper but now want to try a 17" roll so I can plot 11x17 prints. When I tried the sheet feed the standard "tabloid" size worked fine. With the roll in, it cuts one edge off. I tried looking for ANSI sizes to see if that would give me better border control. But there are no ANSI sizes listed. I tried to add custom paper size to the Plotter Manager by following the AutoCadHelp but there are no PC3 files where they say there should be. Can someone please help this not so sharp tool in the shed. Thanks Quote
redbeardcad Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 I'm not sure what I did. I just wanted to add a custom paper size but ended up with a PC3 called 11x17. I click on this instead of the HP T1120 PC3 and it plots OK. PC3 is a Plotter Config file, is it not? Not a custom paper size that should show up in the PC3. I really confused now. Quote
ReMark Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Yes, it is a plotter configuration file just as you say. If it solves the problem then don't knock it. Some things will always be a mystery. Quote
redbeardcad Posted December 23, 2009 Author Posted December 23, 2009 Thanks, ReMark. I guess I just have to leave that PC3 alone since it works. But now, do I have to make a custom PC3 for every ANSI size? With the old plotter you just had to select the sizes you wanted from a list. Is it something in the HP driver? Thanks again for your help. Quote
