chelsea1307 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Usually clicking world for the view will bring the crosshairs back to normal (aligned with the usc) right now Y is straight up and X is to the right but my cross hairs are at an angle. I attached a pic to clairfy. How do i get my cross hairs to align Quote
chelsea1307 Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 After playing with the different view buttons and the find/replace command i got the cross hairs the right way, unfortunately this means i cant post the dwg and next time it happens i have no idea what set of commands fixed the problem. chulse Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 can you go back to your .BAK file and recover the twisted version? Quote
chelsea1307 Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 I detached all the xrefs and the angle the remaining stuff (text and linework) is the correct angle but the cross hairs should match the UCS twisted.dwg Quote
chulse Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Well, you've got me. Maybe REMARK will know... Quote
eldon Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 If you go into the units setting, the base angle has been set to 106 degrees. If you set that back to one of the more normal directions i.e. East, then set SNAPANG to 0, and there you are. Quote

I never thought to check the base angle (since the SNAPANG was already 0) Excellent. Quote
rkent Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 ANGBASE set to 0, then SNAPANG set to 0. Quote
chelsea1307 Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 thanks eldon and rkent both solutions worked! Quote
chelsea1307 Posted May 27, 2010 Author Posted May 27, 2010 I love being able to come find old posts, had the problem again and forgot what the answer was, and was able to easily come find it again Quote
crushmaster Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 ??It seems the 'snapang' command is useless, because everything he can do seemingly can also be done by setting 'angbase'? Quote
