ASchroederIV Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Here is my problem. I work for a railing company, and I'm trying to draw up a Fancy spiral Staircase ( I'd show you an example but they wont let me link it because I'm still new.) Is it possible to draw the gut section of the railing on a flat plane, and then have it curved along an arc or the radius of the stairs? I'm not sure how I can accomplish this and would greatly appreciate help. Thanks. Quote
petteri Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Hello, I would be interested too about folding option of autocad in 3d mode, example if you draw housewall every 4 walls to one continuous part, so how can i fold it to 4 wall square in 3d *little explanation why this needs to done ( making industry drawings so one wall needs to be bit longer and go little bit top of otherside wall, so i can spotweld them to onepiece ) English not so good and hard to explain but hopefully you guys get it, Quote
ReMark Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 You need an add-on program or Inventor. Plain AutoCAD does not include options to fold/unfold. Quote
ReMark Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Thank you, that was quick answer You're welcomed. Here is a link to an add-on program to AutoCAD if you are dealing with sheet metal. I don't use it so I cannot really tell you how good the program might be or how it functions. http://www.litio3d.com.ar/newv2-0.htm Quote
