AutoCAD MEP 2010

Friends,

I've used batch plot to make pdf copies of my drawings in version 2004 and did not have this issue:

In 2010 when I use batch plot to pdf (say for 5 drawings), it produces one single pdf file with 5 sheets. I want an individual pdf file for each drawing (5 pdfs).

I don't want to have to open each drawing and plot. That's what batch plot is for!

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

According to my 2010 "cheat sheet" re: PDF Enhancements...

"Quickly create single, multipage PDF files or multiple single-page PDF files from the Ribbon."

Perhaps you were a bit rushed and missed something. Go back and try again. Consult your Help files for further information. :)

On the Ribbon's Output tab > Export to DWF/PDF panel click on the Export to DWF/PDF Options icon. When it opens look under General options > Type and change this to Multi-sheet file then click on the OK button.

I don't mean to be a stickler but Multi-sheet file type produces the single file with multiple sheets included within it. Single-sheet file produces a pdf file for each layout.

A bit-o-clarification never hurts. Thanks.

Try PUBLISHCOLLATE and see if that yields better results. I have never tried it since we use AcroPlot Pro, but worth a shot....

OH the irony of it all. I came here trying to batch plot. hahaha I highlight all the layouts i want plotted (published) and right-click>publish... and it automatically makes seperate pdf's. (depending on if you have DWGtoPDF selected on those particular layouts)

I was having the same problem. I was using adobe PDF as the output device in page setup.

Try changing it to the standard AutoCAD PDF driver "dwg to PDF.pc3" and everything should work ok.

I was having the same problem using AutoCAD 2014:

While in batch-plot menu, publish to: "plotter specified in page setup", I selected for all the desired layouts a page setup which uses the DWG_to_PDF plotter, and have single-sheet file enabled.

Regardless, result is single pdf file with multiple layouts.

Actually, in my case, only straight ahead "publish to pdf" command would correctly create a pdf for each layout.

Then I tried the "PUBLISHCOLLATE" command and changed the value to 0, which worked like a charm.

So, Thank you!
