Flymypretty Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Hi guys, Question about numbering the model and then to extract the numbers to an output file. I have created 3D models that i need to label. And the points lies on end point, mid point of line and at the center of a square/rectangle(Imagine drawing a X across the square and the point is at the intersection) I will need to label all these points in a systematic manner but the numbering will at one point jump from one surface of the model to the other. Is there a way to use of LISP to accomplish the task? And when that is done, i will then need to extract the coordinates and the corresponding numbers to an output file(notepad). Will anyone be so kind as to enlighten me how i can get all these done? I have attached the model and a sample of the numbering but it is done manually which is tedious and time-consuming and im thinking if it can be done by programming. Thank you in advance. I tried to be as concise as possible, but if im vague or unclear or certain concepts, please let me know so i can explain again. Edge-Crack-1-Domain-2-04-2.dwg Quote

You will get the result show in Excel file. Hope you understood. Manish 123.zip Quote
Lee Mac Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 This may help with the extracting: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=42954 Not sure if these would help with the numbering: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=37420 http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=35234 Quote
