Jono Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Having this problem with Inventor leaving kinda a trail when my mouse pauses for a sec or so then it refreshes when i zoom or draw something. Been looking for a fix for this all day and it's driving me crazy. I am running windows7 64bit. This is what it looks like. Thats a picture before i have even placed a line. every spot i pause for even a fraction of a second leaves a line when in the line tool. Quote
kencaz Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Have you installed SP1 yet. It fixes a lot of little issues in 2008 The link for the D/L is on the bottom... Just D/L and double Click to install. http://www.westcam.at/datentechnik/de/autodesk-inventor-2008-servi-2.html KC Quote
JD Mather Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 You might try going to Tools>Application Options>Hardware tab and set to lowest setting. Quote
Jono Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 I am running SP3 but it did the same thing on sp1 and sp2 and before sp1. i dont see any settings under hardware other than software or direct 3d and i have the same problem with both. This is such a pain. Quote
Bishop Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Do you have multiple ATI video cards in Crossfire? If so, disable Crossfire. That cured a LOT of visual issues for me. Quote
Jono Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 I only have one video card Nvidia GeForce GTX260 I am starting to get used to it messing up but the other day i was running a game and Inventor at the same time and it was even worse as in made copies of the line way more often. It also does it when i go to place a part in a assembly. Thanks for the suggestion tho. Quote
shift1313 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 In your Nvidia control panel what are you image settings? Do you have "let 3d application decide" checked? Also if you go into Program settings Inventor will pop up and allow you to customize your settings if needed. Quote
Jono Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 I Changed it to "let 3d application decide" but didnt seem to make a diffrence =/. "Also if you go into Program settings Inventor will pop up and allow you to customize your settings if needed". i dont know where to find these program settings. If i go to tools>application settings>Hardware all i see is use direct3d or use software graphics. when i click diagnostics i get this. dont know why it is not WHQL certified it is up to date driver. This Direct3D graphics driver is not Microsoft WHQL certified Graphics Hardware Description: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 Direct3D \ Hardware Renderer Graphics driver file nvd3dum.dll is version 8.17.11.9562 Using Full optimization (this is the recommended setting) The display is using 32-bit color Inventor Version: Build: 342, Release: 2008 SP3 - Date: Tue 05/27/2008 Loaded Inventor Add-Ins: Simulation: Dynamic Simulation Simulation: ANSYS Workbench Content Center Simulation: Stress Analysis Inventor Vault Routed Systems: Tube & Pipe Autodesk DWF Markup Manager Content Center Connectivity Content Center Item Translator Frame Generator Drag & Drop Interoperability Design Accelerator Routed Systems: Cable & Harness AEC Exchange AutoLimits Inventor Studio EDM Addin System Information: Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7100) (7100.winmain_win7rc.090421-1700) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
