Define variable length

Hi!

I´m pretty new to AutoCAD 2007 but have some experience from other CAD programs and I simply cannot figure out how to perform the following simple task:

I want to define the length in my object as variables, i. e. the side in a cube as "length = 200 mm" and then place another object at "length/2". If I then change the value of the variable "length" to i. e. 150, the object I placed in the middle should now automatically change its center position from 100 to 75 mm from the corner. My question is how do I do this?

In previous programs I´ve used it has been super easy to just define geometric lengths as variables but not here.

Regards

Fredrik

Sounds like the ideal situation for a Dynamic Block.

Or if the OP upgrades to 2010, geometrical and dimensional constraints should help with these tasks.

AutoCAD can't do this except for 2010.
