rookie37
I'm drawing cylinders at various angles. They would take too much time to calculate the angle. Can I 1. make a cylinder then rotate it like I do in 2d In 2d I like to use rotate reference What is the command? Any other suggestions? Cad64
Try using the 3DROTATE command.
lrm
What do you know about the desired orientation for the cylinders? For example, do you know a base point and a second point in the direction of the cylinder or do you have cosines of the axis with respect to the WCS? If the former use: Command: _cylinder Specify center point of base or [3P/2P/Ttr/Elliptical]: Specify base radius or [Diameter]: Specify height or [2Point/Axis endpoint]: a Specify axis endpoint: If you have angle use rotate3d which is much better than 3drotate for keyboard input or in the use of a script if you want to automate the process. - Lee
