hebdesign Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Hi, does anyone have an elevation drawing detailing a metal external spiral staircase. 250 tread, 170 riser and 3m height approx. Thanks Quote
hebdesign Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 Is there an easy way to detail? without having to add handrailing spindles etc. Not up to speed at doing it 3D and saving view for 2D. Quote
BIGAL Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Search here there are other posts for spiral stairs Quote
stevsmith Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I have details for spiral stairs. What is it for? Quote
Bill Tillman Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 You can layout a spiral stair simply, in either 2D or 3D. You don't specify the radius of the stairs, that would help. There are of course some LISP routines which do stairs, even spiral stairs. I haven't seen many for spiral stairs, mostly ones I saw other people write for their work which is repetitive. I don't know of anything that draws up the handrails and pickets though. That would take some doing but I guess if you had enough time you could write a LISP routine to do it. I prefer to draw 3D drawings of spiral stairs and then use viewports to make the 2D views needed for shop drawings. Will be glad to help you if you can provide more information. Quote
