rlshound Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Hello, I believe that while creating a dwt file the system crashed. The messages received when trying to import points are: "Error opening format handler" "Unhandled Exception c000005(access violation reading 0x0000)at address 64de4e71h" "Fatal Error:Unhandled c0000409h exception at 78158b4bh" Is anyone familiar with these messages? Any recommendations? Up the creek without a paddle, rlshound Quote
edwinprakoso Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I found that most of this message is caused by corrupted files. Does this also happen when you open work on other files? And does this also happen when you open the same file on other machine? Quote
rlshound Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Hello Edwin, thank you for responding,I will check the things you mentioned....and keep you posted. rlshound Quote
nukecad Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Try typing RECOVER rather than using Open - this audits the drawing as it opens it. Although I dont like the look of that "Format Handler" bit, looks more like a problem with Autocad than with the drawing. Quote
rlshound Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 We have been working on this and thinking that it is an AutoCAD issue rather than a drawing/project specific problem....I will keep you posted...Thanks again Nukecad Quote
rlshound Posted January 21, 2010 Author Posted January 21, 2010 Edwin + Nukecad.....it turns out to be an autocad administrative fix....something got blasted off....thanks again for your help...rlshound Quote
