Cad-n-ator Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I have a quick question about dynamic blocks if someone can help me out. I have a dynamic block i have created that shows a steel angle in elevation view. It has attached stretch actions at both ends with a flip and a rotate action at the centerline. My question is once I insert this block and stretch and rotate it to the angle and length I want - now I want to incorporate different size angle with the visiblilty command. I want to use the visibilty parameter but i'm having a problem - when i switch visibility states it changes to the new size short length but not the changed rotation and length i wanted it? Can you have a parameter that does an action for multiple visibility views? Quote
dbroada Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I always make my blocks with all visibility bits on view. It is easy to fail to add your new bit to the action set. Make sure you can see it all (with the toggle that greys out the non visible bits) and then ensure all like items are in the action sets you are interested in. Quote

Cad-n-ator Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 Your right Todd - I just figured that part out- now it works - the only thing is that the action grip point will be on different places releative to the original angle size i created. Or is it possible to move an action grip point of a single action on different visibility state to different locations? Quote

I dont think the action base point transfers across to the different states you'd have to add those in as well. can u post the dwg so i can take a look at what u got goin on in ur dynamic blocks? Cad-n-ator Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 That was the block itself - Try this one - its a scratch dwg with the block inserted. EXAMPLE.dwg Quote
