helsinki98 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Hello thar, i am having issues with being able to represent insulation in walls on my plans, i first thought that i would need to use the hatch draw tool but i was unable to find the diagram i was looking for. I want to use (the sideways 8 looking symbol) If it isnt already pre installed on autocad does anyone know where i can find this symbol to download? Cheers. Quote
ReMark Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 You're in luck as we have a thread around here (very recent) that discussed creating a batt insulation hatch pattern. Use the Search feature above and type in "batt insulation" and it is sure to come up. Some of the most recent posts were made earlier today. Matt Hamby (?) is the forum member. He's got a dynamite routine. Quote

ReMark Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Might intent was not to admonish you re: using the Search feature. Since you are a new forum member perhaps you were unaware of its existence. No insult or offense intended. Quote

merdrignac Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Insulation is a standard Autocad line type called 'Batting', not a hatch pattern. It can be scaled to increase it's width. I use it all the time. It can be set up with other line types as a multiple line so you can draw the whole wall construction in one go. Quote
