Non-functioning Wi-Fi button

Hi all I searched the internet and came across this post yes its 3years old. But please can anyone remember the fix for the non-functioning wifi button ?

 

I want to donate this machine to a youngster it running windows 7 enterprise now really well but the wifi will not work an she needs it for school.

 

The card is installed its just the blue light is not coming on when it is pushed

The screen-shots referred to in the thread that helped Strix sort the problem was never posted here, and being from 3 years ago I doubt that they are still around.

 

However, I have moved your question to it's own thread to see if someone has an idea on how to solve your problem.

unfortunately the Evo bit the dust a long time ago, so the screenshots are long gone

 

I don't think Zars posts here any more after he changed jobs and doesn't have anything AutoCAD to look after now
