Hi Guys,

I'm new to civil 3d and I'm currently trying to create the Finished Ground surface consisting of the roads/corridors, proposed building pads, and ponds.

I am not sure what part of the corridor/corridor surface should be pasted on the FG surface. Is it the top of the corridor surface, datum, or subbase?

I need to produce a cut and fill plan comparing the EG surface and FG surface and i want to make sure that i get the FG correctly.

Thanks,

Your question is very confusing...

Surfaces are created using whatever links you select. In some cases, you simply need to assign the correct link codes in your subassembly for whatever you want built. If you're using a stock subassembly with pre-assigned link codes, look in the help for each Subassembly to see which link corresponds to each code, and build your desired surface accordingly.

It kind of sounds like you're looking for a surface made out of Top links. However, that might not cut it... You might also need to include some Feature Lines in your surface definition, or play with the Branching or Overhang...

Have you done the tutorials yet?
