I am currently using AutoCad 2008 LT. I have been given a bunch of Autosketch files (Typically *.SKF, *.SKD & *.WPD) which I cannot view.

Can anyone please advise me if there is a suitable viewer I can use to view these files?

Best Wishes,

Derek

Back just couple of years ago, I was given a box load of old Autosketch files. Good.

They did not convert over in to any version of Acad.

Then got out the old box, and across front was note that everything inside was directly convertable with Autocad. ,,,,, 'cept upon reading the instructions inside, it also mentioned that essentially you had to do this TODAY or forget it. That was six years ago. I still wonder what the stuff on those disks looked like.

I will have to check myself once I get home. Back a few years ago I had my own CAD business and I found myself in this same situation. I did buy the current version of Auto Sketch back then and was able to bring them over into (at that time) Microstation. I can't remember what file format I exported them to but I'm pretty sure it was dwg files. I will re-install Auto Sketch later to confirm which file type it was.

Back then I think it was just over $100 to buy so it was worth the cost. However this was over five years ago.

I think got you beat. But back several years ago, got out of some Architectural Digest magazine a card for mailing in to the folks offering DataCAD, plus an additional disk full of hatches, and text, all for $19.95.

Went to an electronics swap meet locally and fellow was selling (Used) Acad in versions 14, 13, and 12 for Windows for $100 each, complete wth everything from manuals on up to disks and keys. He had one fellow interested in the R-13 version, but zero talkers on the remainder.

Never used Datacad but heard it was simple to use, but difficult to plot out.
