Vigilante Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 aCAD LT 2009 The move command doesn't work the same as in 2002. I want to move an object to the 0,0 point in the work space. But in LT apparently when you try to move, it only wants relative points. In 2002, I would select the object, run move command, type "0,0", hit enter and the object zips down to that point. On LT, I select the object, run move command, type "0,0" and it's just a relative displacement, in other words, it doesn't move at all. I've searched the help file but cannot find how to move an object TO specific coordinates. I must be missing something. How do I tell LT 2009 to move an object to 0,0? Thanks. Quote
dbroada Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 there are a couple of things to note. IF you are using dynamic input you can prefix your co-ordinates with a # to go to an absolute point. alternatively turn off dynamic input and it should work as you expect (I like dynamic input) To move relative you can use the @ prefix. Vigilante Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 Hmm, yes the # worked, now I wonder if I can make that the default instead of @? I don't really want to entirely turn off dynamic input just to change one command. Funny they didn't put that little trick in the help file. Quote
dbroada Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 there is a setting which I can't remember as I am quite happy using the #. What I find annoying is that the # doesn't work if you aren't using dynamic input - which means I can't write a script that works for the whole office! Quote
tzframpton Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I personally can't stand the Dyn. Input. I see its benefits and think it's a great tool, but I don't need it myself. Quote
