michaeloureiro Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Hello everybody I know this is a noob question, i´ve been looking for it in cad help, but can´t seem to find it, the cadtutor search engine doesn´t seem to be helping either. It says to enter more than 3 words after i type in a question (with more than 3 words), anyway what i want to know is how can i explode a xref and make it part of the drawing. Is there a way to do this? Can anybody help? Thanks Quote
lpseifert Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Easiest way is to Bind it (Xref Manager, or Externalreferences >Rt-clk on the xref name) and then explode the block that it makes. I would suggest using the Insert option or you'll get some funky layer names. Quote
Coosbaylumber Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 If you bind it fine. But go no further unless... If you then EXPLODE it, then you got multiple layers, text styles and linetypes on your hands, plus you cannot shift it into place as one, nor rescale it to fit. Once exploded, it will then become wholey a part of your major drawing. Wm. Quote
