drifter15 Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Hi everyone I am asking is there a software or a tool that I can use to render my solidWorks models? I worked with PhotoView 360 and it was amazing, Unfortunatly it was just a demo, now I can't use it. So please what are the rendering software for solidworks, are there software that I can download? Thanks alot Quote
shift1313 Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 You can render in solidworks. You might have to go to Tools>add-ins and turn on Photoworks. Im not sure if it comes with all levels of solidworks but it does just as good a job as photoview only you have a bit more control over everything. If you want to use decals, adjust the environment or fine tune materials you need to do it in Solidworks. Quote
drifter15 Posted February 8, 2010 Author Posted February 8, 2010 Thanks shift1313 I am using SolidWorks_2009. I'll try Photoworks. I didn't know that rendering can be done in solidworks it self, I see the renders u make and they are amazing, do you use Photoworks or PhotoView 360. One other thing, is there a different rendering software like VRAY or other that can be used to render AutoCAD or SolidWorks models? Thanks Quote
drifter15 Posted February 8, 2010 Author Posted February 8, 2010 I tried it and it worked, Thanks shift1313, but I find photoview 360 easier! Quote
shift1313 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 photoview does all the work in setting up standard scenes, materials and lighting. It makes it very easy to produce really nice renders and most of the time thats what I use. There are times that you need to alter things a bit though. Specifically decals and when you want to do some heavy tweaking of materials. have fun Quote
