Recover Licence from a Dead Computer

So, a computer with AutoCAD just died. We were able to copy everything off the hard drive though.

I am wondering what the best method to transfer this license to a new computer would be. We have several licenses so I don't know which one specifically it had.

If you have a list of the licenses, I assume that you can check the licenses that you have and rule out the ones that you have and then be left with just one.

 

If not, I would contact your Autodesk reseller and find the licenses that you have, and so on...

Well in my list the serial number is the same for each licnese, but the activation codes are different. I tried all 7 activation codes and none of them worked. Normally we transfer licenses via the export/import license option.

Ya, I sent them an e-mail a couple days ago. I figured I would try another route while I wait for a response.

When you are trying to activate the product, you can send them information and they'll usually reply with an email within 24 hours. The automatic activation may not work, but if you fill out all of the information then they'll usually issue another activation. If not, just call them.
