DWG to PDF with merge control.

Team,

I require a PDF creator that works well in Autocad with working line merge control.

We currently have freeware of CutePDF, DoPDF V6, PDFCreator, ect.. And they offer the merge control option, but it has no effect on the the print.

Does any one have any experience with a program that works well is this area? Turns out I have a budget to buy a licence, so if its not Freeware thats ok.

thx.

Also I've ran a search, but it came up dry.

Could I inquire as to what "line merge control" means?

Thanks, in advance, for educating me.

BTW...Would you happen to be on Subscription? If so I know that AutoDesk released a bonus pack that specifically targeted working with PDFs. Not sure what features were included or enhanced.

Hopefully ive read this question correctly, If you are using AutoCad 2010 you will find under export an option to turn your DWG's to PDF with various other options, Hope that helps.

Never used 09 i know 08 did not have the pdf option, Suprised that 09 is without it.

2009 can plot/print to PDF. My point was that customers on Subscription got an "upgrade" for dealing with PDFs that others did not qualify for.

Basically we are trying to make this feature work with a PDF creator. With the ones we have It does not seem to matter if you are on merge or overwrite, it always prints the same, due to a lot of hatching in one set, it is covering info on the base drawing. And I would like that info to be dark and on top.

And Draw order is not an option, Don't ask....

A) Lines merge basically means that draworder rules. If you have a screened line on top of a black line, it will show this way. Generally not desired. Lines "overwrite" (the opposite setting) ensures that black lines always display on top.

B) I wrote about the 2009 Bonus Pack here: http://cadpanacea.com/node/79

PDF output has been included with AutoCAD since the 2007 version.
