vigo Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I'm having a problem moving this part along the cylinder using physical dynamics, it gives me this error. This part is concentric with the cylinder. Quote
shift1313 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 what is the diameter of the shaft and what is the diameter of the inside of the slide hammer? what are you trying to accomplish by moving the part in this way? Is the hammer fixed? If you go to Tools> Interference checker you can see if there is any overlap in the two parts. that would cause the physical dynamics to throw up that error. Quote
JD Mather Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 A common problem that I see students make is to model exact parts ie a 30mm hole for a 30mm shaft. In the real world the hole and shaft will not only need clearance but also allowance for tolerance in manufacturing process. Can't make exact stuff out on the shop floor. Quote
