Mark_CV3D Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Hello! I have some problems importing surface from google earth. When importing surface and image from earth into civil3d 2010 the surface isn´t placed in a coordinate system. Instead it seems to get centered around x & y = 0. How do I get my surface from google earth placed in the same coordinate-system appearing at the bottomline of google earth? Thanks in advance! Quote
lpseifert Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Before you import from Google, set up the appropriate coordinate system for the area in C3D- Toolspace > Settings > Rt-click on Drawing name > Edit Drawing Settings > Units and Zone > Zone. When importing from Google when prompted for 'Use coordinate system for image location' hit enter for the default. Under the Map menu > Tools > Track Coordinate Systems- a palette should open that displays the coordinates Or... have a look here http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%202010%20User%20Documentation/index.html?url=WS73099cc142f4875518134151150332e308-7e5d.htm,topicNumber=d0e16634 Quote
