Hi Again,

This may be a odd question with a very simple answer, hope so anyway. Say I make a Part (.ipt) for an assembly, then later I realize I need to make a very similar part as the first so I do a Save As of the part and then open it up to make some changes,,, o.k. so far. But, if I need to change the material and the color of the Save As part all I have is "As Material", or the original color of the original part that it was Save As from. Also I can't change the Material in the iproperties, just has the Default.

Can someone pleeease explain this to me, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Bill I dont think that should be the case. I just did exactly as you said with different results. Does this happen with every Save Copy As or just this one?

Hey Matt, good to hear from you, thanks for the reply.

Well, I kind of miss-quoted myself on my problem,,, I meant to say "Save Copy As", so I tried just doing a "Save As" of the original part and I still get the same results. I have noticed this on all my different projects. parts and assemblies so maybe I have setting that is not correct.

Hi J.D., thank you for the reply.

I went and looked in my Projects dialog and noticed that I have "Use Style Library" set

to = No. Would this be the setting that I need to set back to Yes? I set it originally to NO because when I set it to Yes I would get a Prompt when I tried to open one of my own .idw. Hope this make since.

Thanks
