the6thsens Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Hi Guys, I have a really poor kit on which my acad 2007 is loaded onto. Hence i am trying to practise the best commands to save time spent watch the frozen screen. The most frequent command that i use is the refedit to edit block definitions in the drawing. I would like ask if this is the fastest and less memory consuming method to edit a block? Hope to get some advice from fellow cadmen! Cheers Anoop Quote
ScribbleJ Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 The best way to edit blocks is through the block editor. The REFEDIT command works but you don't have every tool available to you for editing blocks as you would through the block editor. Try BEDIT and see if you get better performance. Quote
the6thsens Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 Hey Clavin cheers for your reply ma8. Well i need to edit blocks most of the time with the background drawing visible as my detailing is always a contextual one. but bedit doesnt show the background drawing? Quote
dbroada Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 I use BEDIT if I am modifying an attribute or have dynamic properties and use REFEDIT if I am moving geometry around. Quote

Then REFEDIT will be the only choice for your situation. Quote
