Hi,

I am migrating to windows 7 from vista.

I will have to reload all mt s/w again.

What files in Autocad2010 will i have to backup so that I do not have to customize Autocad again.

I have not made any user profile yet.

Thanks

What custom files do you have?

Did you edit the CUI? Did you edit the acad.pgp file or add some custom linetypes? How about new, custom, toolbars? Do you have any custom lisp routines you want to carry forward. Make a list and get back to us.

Yes I did.

I have added/modified some keyboard shortcuts.

I have added some lisp programs to run on startup. though I do not know whcih particular file it was maybe acad2010doc.lsp

I have some plt configs to save, some fonts.

yea I think that it.

Doesn't sound like you have much to worry about.

The acad.pgp file, acad2010.doc.lsp, some PC3 files and a few fonts. Heck, everything you need will fit on a flash drive with room to spare.

That good to hear, but can you tell me where they are located..in the appdata/roaming/autodesk... or somewhere else too.

help & thanks

Well I know that the acad.pgp is located in the folder...

C:\users\[computer]\appdata\roaming\autodesk\autocad 2010\r18.0\enu\support

Your font files will be found in...

C:\program files\autocad 2010\fonts

Your plot style files can be found in...

C:\Users\[computer]\appdata\roaming\autodesk\autocad 2010\r18.0\enu\plotters\plot styles

Now that I've thought about it acad2010doc.lsp would NOT be the best location for custom lisp files. I'd look for acad.lsp or acaddoc.lsp instead unless you created another file to store all your custom lisp routines in.
