pvd Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Hi Guys, I have several datalinks (dxe) in my dwg that aren't useful anymore. But it seems like it's not possible to detach them. Rightclicking on them only gives the option to update. Anybody knows how to detach unnecessary datalinks? thanks very much! Quote
Tommy78 Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Yes, there is a solution, i found it somewhere on the web or on this forum, i don't remember , here's what you got to do: 1. rename or delete the .dxe files you don't need anymore so autocad doesn't find them. 2. paste this in the commandline: (dictremove (namedobjdict) "ACAD_DATALINK") 3.save and close your drawing 4.open the drawing and they should be gone good luck! pvd Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 Thanks Tommy, it works but now the data links I didn't want to detach, are gone as well, while I didn't delete them...Not such a problem at the moment but what if I want to keep some links in my dwg? Quote
Tommy78 Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 You re-insert them , honestly, i don't know. Quote
