tismasul Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Hi everyone, I need to make my dimension to look the same as in the picture. I'm stuck in dimension styles. I dont know if I can do this in 2007 version. Thanks a lot Quote
ReMark Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Are you referring to the font that's being used or the elevation symbol below the elevation itself or both? Where did you get the picture from? Quote
tismasul Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 I got the picture from a friend for who I am drawing the project, but he does not know autocad. I got only this far. As you can see I have no + or - in front of them, the numbers are above and not on the right, I have no short line on the right and no line under the black datum triangle. And there is another thing, I do not know how to set the coordinates for the house to get the -50 for example nor the -+ 0 . Thanks Quote
Fire_col Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I think you are probably best using the qleader command, if you aren't already and then just editing you text to say what you need it to say. As far as getting your co-ords set your datum to point 0,0,0 on the drawing and then work from there. Quote
ReMark Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Another option would be to make the arrow portion a block and the elevation an attribute. When the block is inserted you'll be prompted for the value of the attribute. Something like this: Quote
stevsmith Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 have a go with this. You may need to explode it first. level sym.dwg Quote
stevsmith Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Thanks ReMark, But I have just noticed that tismasul is using 2007. I think Dyn blocks came into action in 2008. Quote
ReMark Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I thought so too Steve but my AutoCAD 2007 User's Guide says otherwise. refer to Chapter 20 page 457 - Add Dynamic Behavior to Blocks. Quote
