Ortho Lock lines not at 90º

The problem i'm having is when i draw a line with ortholock on the line is drawen at an angle. I've opened the file on 2 diffrent vers (2006LT, 2008)

 

This is in 2006LT

 

This is in 2008

 

This is the only file that i've ever come across that while ortho is on the line that you create is croocked. Any Ideas as how to combat this issue? the only thing that look odd to me is the cursor in the bottom pic (acad 2008 ) is not the regualr cursor.

 

As you can see in the pics I have ortho lock on and the lines are being drawing @ what should be a straight line.

have you got your UCS rotated slightly in the Z plane?

yea i feel kinda dumb for not thinking about that on my own. Incase anyone runs into this same problem in the future and comes across this post looking for a cure.
