rookie37 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I want to learn how to make animations in inventor Quote
shift1313 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 A great place to start is the help and tutorial files that are loaded with Inventor. What kind of animations do you want to do? Quote
JD Mather Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Search Google for Bill Bogan Inventor Studio Tutorials. Search http://au.autodesk.com online classes for Mark Flaylor presentations 2008 & 2009. Quote
vertical horizons Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 ...What kind of animations do you want to do? I would like to be able to show an animation that rotates 360° around an object, while the object is tilted at a 45° angle. I have looked at some of the animation tutorials. It looks as though there are a lot of selections to be made in order to create the animation. I guess I am missing a step or two, cause it just isn't doing what it is supposed to do. Quote

shift1313 Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Here is the general idea to what I think you are getting at. When you start Inventor Studio you can create a camera. This camera can be rotated 45 degrees(if that's what you are looking for). You can right click on the camera and Animate Camera. In the animation window there is a tab for Turntable which will let you setup how you want the camera to rotate, about what axis, speed and so on. Its really very straight forward to setup. Tweaking render settings, materials and lights will be way more involved depending on the quality of output you want. Quote
vertical horizons Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I will try to get the animation to work tomorrow. The last time I attempted it, I was able to get the video to pan back and forth (but I wanted it to rotate 360°). If I still can't get it to work correctly, I'll do an upload. Quote
