prasanth14026 Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Dear all, I have some of 3d model, which was created in autocad. From this model i want to create orthographic views, as top view ,front view, side view. But, not in the layout. normally i doing, i'll change model into wire frame mode in top view, then i'll copy and pate into other page. the same i'll do for all views. unfortunately this is not 2d drawing. JD Mather Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Why not in layout - that is the usual way to show drawing views. Solview and soldraw or flatshot Quote
ReMark Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I would agree with JDM that using a layout is really the way to go. To add another option to the ones he mentioned I would suggest Solprof (creates a 2D block of a 3D object as seen through the viewport). Quote
prasanth14026 Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 the problem in the layout, it's comes in boxes. when i print also it'll look as in boxes. Quote

prasanth14026 Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 yes, this is a good idea ,thanks alot. Quote
zionshea Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 would you suggets using one of these options (Solview, soldraw, Solprof ) also for Architectural drawings? Can you please also explain step by step how these commands should be used? and what is the differnce compare to just displaying in a Viewport a 2D-wire-frame (i.e. the top or the left side view).
