Hi all,

I have some great dynamic blocks that I would like to use through the use of a toolpalette. I just dragged them in there and it works. But...

I can only put in 1 block at a time (of course!), I need to give an enter after inserting so I can insert another one. Also I cannot specify another image for the block.

If I'd make a button with a macro like this:

*^C^C-insert;MYBLOCK;s;$m=$(getvar,userr1)

(where userr1 = dimscale) then the " * " allows repeating the macro. That means, insert until you hit escape.

Using this way allows to choose another image for the tool.

But then again the blocks are inserted in the "regular" way. With this I mean that the alignment parameter is not used when the block is inserted: I have it set as perpendicular to the entity on wich it is placed.

So here I am: 2 options to insert blocks, the first (drag 'n drop methode) without having custom images and needing to enter after each insert.

Or the "lisp" methode without using the alignment parameter.

I need someone to think with me, what are the options... I am no lisp geek but I am also not UNfamiliar with it. SInce this is more dynamic block-ish I thought this post belongs in here.

Thanks for the help / advice.

Marco.
