3d autocad 2010 Problem with hide in layout space

I just finished a mesh model and used the hide command in model space - it seemed to work fine - however when I used the command in layout space half the drawing disappeared - what is happening?

You'll likely need to attach the file so that a 2010 user can download it and experience exactly what you're describing.

The original drawing is not required - draw a sample mesh drawing in model space and use the hide command - it should work, then create a layout, use floating layout (model) and try the hide command again. This is when things go wrong.

try to post a screen shot of your mesh in model space here so we can see whats wrong...
