I am working with AutoCad 2010 MEP w/ EastCoast add on.

I get the following message when I try to load a catalog, "Unsupported catalog format version 3.Fabrication for AutoCad MEP 2010 (Version 2.0.4.0._ requires catalog format version 2)"

Do I need to upgrade th eprogram?

which catalog are we talking about? A catalog from AutoCAD MEP (*.APC file) or the Eastcoast catalog?

eastcoast catalog

I was afraid of that, I don't run Eastcoast on my machine. You might have better luck over at the AUGI forum boards. There are some people that use it over there, have you tried that site?

I will try posting the same question there

I am having success with creating MVParts for Catalogs. I need help being more successful as for the proper layers coming up with the MVPart insertion. What I am saying is, when I created the MVParts, as well as adding typical types of pipe support layer names in the Style Manager. I think i am missing something here, when I was able to publish the new catalog, new name and such, I then zipped the files(all files pertaining to the new catalog) then brought them to another machine, placing all the new folders under C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\MEP 2010\enu\MEPContent\USI\MvParts, which is Autocads default. Problem is the layers are not coming up as I created them in the new layers. Am I to add the "MEP Object - AIA 256 Color" dwg to the zip file as well?

Is there a etransmit way that will place every file needed for the successful placement on other machines.

Why don't you just network the new Catalogs instead? And next time, try creating your own thread when asking a question to yield better results. 8)

I will do that re post to new thread, thanks. Basically am doing this catalog to go with our new software package going out soon. So the network idea doesn't apply here. I did get a response stating that all layers must be re-applied on new machines which isnt an answer i'm looking for .Thanks again!:)
