Toolbar Button Linked to a File

Is there a way to link a file to a toolbar button? I am assuming yes, since AutoCad's help file is linked somehow. If yes, then how do they do it? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Please give us more details. What kind of file are we talking about? Is it a DWG? You can have a block inserted by a button press.

You can have your own help file attached to the AutoCAD help file.

Also you can start Notepad to display a specific text file.

I am trying to access a help file (*.chm) from a software that runs on top of AutoCad.

(help "C:/Program Files/Microsoft IntelliPoint 5.2/IPoint/SETUP/Files/hcg.chm" "")

of course your path and help file will be different
