Point Groups Civil 3d 2010

Hello,

I am working on my description keys,slow going but going...Can someone please explain how point groups work in Civil 3d.In LDD I could load all my point groups from a prototype drawing.Is there something similar in Civil 3d 2010?

Point groups in C3D are stored in the drawing. You can pre-create Point Groups in your drawing template.

YES!!

It's amazing what I see people create over and over ---

We have a surface pre-populated with a point group already in the template.

We open a new drawing, dump some points in and Voil

Open your template, create a surface, define the surface (in my case, added a point group). Save the template.

Thanks, I am still loading description keys and looking forward to using C3d...will keep you posted...rlshound
