ilios
(First, i apology about my poor english. I'm not native) I want to make a rope using Inventor 2009. There are V-belts, chains in Inventor. But what i want to make is a thin rope which is similar to thin thread. and i couldn't find any information about it. I expect a rope which have two ends. So, i will attach a block to one end(of rope) and spring to the other end using constraints. Then, I will simulate the siatuation which straight up the block using fixed single pulley by pulling the spring. But i have no idea how i can make thin rope which acts like a thread. Is there anyone who can help me?? Thank you for reading.
Lazer
You can make a thin rope (string/thread) by extruding a very small circle, making it act like a string cannot be done. I dont quite get what you mean by act like a string/thread /rope?
ilios
I just want to make thread like above picture. which have follwing characteristics. - No elasticity - it can endure some force to be not cutted (unlike electric wire) - can be folded freely I'm just wondering that how can i configure the physical property of thin rope which can be made by extruding a small circle. Can i make it act like a thread?
Lazer
Simple answer is no. In Inventor simulation it has dynamic simulation but I don't think it can do what you want it to do.
