tkd1stbb Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I have a HUGH project that I am working on (over 12,000 points in file). I have tried to open dwg and keep receiving same error message when dwg is about 43% opened. I really need to save this project! Please help!! ACAD 2004 Quote
tkd1stbb Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 For anyone who experiences the same problem... Download DWG TrueView from Autodesk website. Convert dwg down from 2004 to 2000. Convert back to 2004. I don't know if it works everytime but it just saved me 4 weeks worth of topographic work! Thanks to my friend John for the tip!! Quote
Coosbaylumber Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 A few of my files are 10X the size mentioned, but when I get an error message such as this, there is some program still using up the memory resources, bt running in the background someplace. I simply re-boot the computer, no programs turned on, and then open up the drawing. I quadrupled the memory three years ago, and still get the error message on occasion. It will go away upon opening it up enough times, and doing a bit of editing. Wm. Quote
